| 授業概要 |
| This course will introduce basic American cultural values through background reading on topics including: Immigration, Education, Minorities, The Changing Role of Women, Politics, Urbanization, the Media, the Arts, etc. Further readings from various sources, videos, movies, documentaries will be used to show the contemporary scene and how traditional values are affecting present day behavior and institutions. |

FOR EACH TOPIC MENTIONED IN THE EXPLANATION OF THE COURSE (Immigration, Education, Minorities, etc):
１．Students read articles, excerpts from books or essays by various writers.
２．Students use the Internet, movies, docmentaries, news programs related to the topic.
３．Materials in 1 and 2 above are used for summarization, discussion, debate, oral / written reports, language study. |
