This course will introduce basic American cultural values through background reading on topics including: Immigration, Education, Minorities, The Changing Role of Women, Politics, Urbanization, The Media, Arts, etc. Further readings from various sources, videos, movies, documentaries will be used to show the contemporary scene and how traditional values are affecting present day behavior and institutions.
